Fall dates are some of my favorite things. From cider mills to coffee shops, I love them all. My hubby and I love to find new adventures not only in our home town but around Michigan as well.
Fall is the perfect time of year to go on dates in Michigan. The leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler, and it is apple cider season! I wanted to share with you some of the best dates for fall that Joshua and I have been on. We are located in Michigan, which our dates will reflect, but there are most likely similar places near you! I like to use Yelp to search for new date ideas and for the best reviews.
In the fall of 2014 on our 6th year anniversary, Joshua surprised me with the best present ever. We got in the car and headed towards
Frankenmuth. I thought we were just going to spend the day there, wandering at Bronners and getting dinner at the Bavarian Inn. But as we got closer, we pulled into The Adventure Park and I filled with excitement!
The park is huge and has three different levels of high ropes. We took on the challenge of the medium level course. As we climbed the first tree, my heart was racing. I said to Josh, “Never mind, I can’t do it. I’m going to fall.” But he helped me along, making sure to promise that I would be okay at each obstacle. I highly recommend the park as a date for you and your significant other if you like a challenging and daring adventure. Pricing is roughly $40 per person and it is a great way to build trust in a relationship! Seriously, this was the best date ever!
Apple orchards are by far one of my favorite date ideas. Erwin Orchards is located in South Lyon, Michigan just south of Brighton. Orchards are the perfect place for that fun yet relaxing fall date. This particular orchard also has a corn maze and haunted house which add extra excitement to the date. There are tons of apples to pick from, a little market where you buy pies and of course donuts and cider. In Michigan, apple orchards are a hot commodity and it is easy to find one near you! At some orchards, you can even pick pumpkins.
Football games are the best place to just hang out, grab a drink, and socialize with each other. Being the coach’s daughter, Josh and I practically attend a football game every Saturday. Football games are the perfect venue to get pumped up about a team scoring a goal, snuggling under a blanket, and for catching up with old friends. We love the excitement of the game and the chance to be our crazy selves in the cheering section.
Coffee Shop Date
Coffee shop dates are the perfect touch to a fall afternoon. Luckily, we have the cutest little coffee shop in downtown Howell called Uptown Coffeehouse. There is a large bay window that holds a bench that is perfectly made for two. We love to just sit and drink a warm coffee or tea and chat away.
Being the theatre lover that I am, I cannot help but share some of this love with my hubby. We have been to many different plays together, most of them on our college campus, and absolutely love the experience! From Medieval Times to Sweeney Todd at The Croswell, we enjoy seeing all different kinds of performances . Theatres are the perfect setting for that chilly fall day.
I love any kind of date but the ones listed above really take the cake. What are some of your favorite dates for fall?
