Paint your nails

Painting your nails can be a tedious task, but it is also enjoyable and a great way to boost your mood. I love picking out different colors to match my mood. Usually I go for a yellow/gold or something with sparkles. Check out some of my favorite colors here!

Read a Devotional

I absolutely love reading a daily devotional. A good one is The 365 Most Important Bible Passages for Women. This book has stories from he bible that relate back to everyday life in the eyes of a woman.

Try a New Recipe

It is always fun to try out a new recipe. I love crockpot recipes. I came across a really good recipe for  Chicken Chili by Laura at Joyfoodsunshine.com, and it is gluten-free! And If you like soup, you can check out my post on Where to Find the Best Gluten Free Soup.

Take Some Vitamins

Did you know that a lot of our mood depends on certain vitamins and minerals in our body? Lacking Magnesium and Vitamin D can make your mood plummet. I use Magnesium Oil to help with tons of things in life. including my mood 🙂

Do your Hair and Make-up

They say that if you look good, you feel good. I am a strong believer in this. Whenever my hair is done or I put a little mascara on, I feel a little better. You can even check out some make-up tutorials on YouTube such as this neutral look by Melissa Marie! 

 

Online Shop!

Online shopping has become super easy and affordable. With many websites offering free shipping, such as Amazon, online shopping is growing. I love to window shop but sometimes it is hard to get out of those pjs. So, I online shop, or at least make “wish lists” for my hubby to see. A few great places for any online shopping are Amazon, Ebay, Overstock, and Etsy. 

Watch Something Funny

Having a good laugh can definitely help boost your mood. Watching funny videos on YouTube is a great place to start. Have you seen the Kohl’s Cash video from Amanda Bell? If you haven’t watched any of her videos yet, you should! She is down to earth and brings out laughter every time!

Read a Good Book

Sometimes, all you need is a good book to lift your spirits. Personally, I love reading. A must read author is Jodi Picoult. She writes melodramatic non-fiction. The Pact is my absolute favorite book by her! Check it out if for a good read.

Do Some Journaling

Journaling can be a huge release. Try writing down three things you are grateful for. Or maybe write your goals  outfor the next month.

Call a Friend

Talking it out with one of your besties is a great way to boost your mood. Sometimes all you need is someone to listen. A best friend somehow always knows what to say to make you feel better, I know mine does!

Watch a RomCom

One of my favorite RomComs is How To loose a Guy in Ten Days. This movie is the perfect mood booster. It’s about a girl who “pretends” to date a man while trying to get him to break up with her in ten days! It stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

Do a Craft

Revamping old furnish is all the fuss now a days. Hit up your DIY Pinterest board and tackle a new craft. Check out my craft in Pinterest Board for some good ideas!

 

Declutter

Decluttering is a great way to relieve stress. I just bought the cutest shelf and cube organizers for my new room! Check it out below 🙂 You can get some great deals from Amazon for shelves, too!

Go for a Walk

Our bodies crave Vitamin D, especially if you live in a less sunny state. Going for a walk boosts the endorphins in your body hence boosting your mood. Whenever I’m having a rough day, sunshine always helps me feel better!

Yoga

Man, do I love me some Yoga! There is something about meditating and stretching that just turns my mood right-side up. My favorite yoga channel is Yoga with Adriene. She offers free yoga videos on her YouTube Channel! Check it out and let me know what you think.

 

Plan a Getaway

A change of scenery can really put you in a good mood.I love to plan trips and have something to look forward to. Check out how to find cheap airline tickets and start planning today!

Bake Something Sweet

Maybe you got a sweet tooth like me? In that case, try out a new recipe. One of my favorites is gluten-free chocolate chip cookies! Try this one from Pinterest!

Listen to Some Uplifting Music

When I’m in a bad mood, there are certain songs that can totally lift my spirits. Blessings by Laura Story is one of them! Turn on some of your favorite tunes and jam it out.

Hold a Baby

Babies can bring out the best in people. Babies have a way at making people laugh, and I love that. If you can, hold a baby and crack a smile 🙂

Have a Glass of Red Wine

Hmmm, Wine. Wine is a great way to wind down your day. Having the occasional glass of wine helps with relaxing. My favorite is Fortissimo. I’m Italian, so this one is a little biased, haha.

Take a Hot Bubble Bath

What a better way to help boost your mood than a bubble bath. Throw some Dr. Teals Lavender Epsom Salt in there and soak up! This will relax your muscles and help detox your body.

Grab a Cup of Coffee or Tea

Coffee and Tea have a way of making people happy. Chamomile Citrus from Mighty Leaf is one of my favorites for needing a calming reminder that everything will be okay. And for coffee, well, Dunkin Donuts is fantastic. They also have happy hour in the afternoons where coffee is only $1 for any size!! Woot Woot.

Watch AFV on Netflix

If you have Netflix or access to YouTube, you totally need to check out AFV (America’s Funniest Home Videos). Each season is awesome and will give you a laugh.

 

Mess around with Snapchat Filters

Currently, Snapchat has some of the best filters out. My favorites are the one with the deer and little bunny. The voice changer is what cracks me up the most. Again, check out Amanda Bell on YouTube to see her hilarious videos using these filters!

Diffuse some Essential Oils

There are many great combinations of essential oils to help boost your mood. One of my favorites is Lemon and Peppermint. Not only do these two essential oils smell amazing, they also help clear you airways and mind. Pick up a diffuser today like the one below and some essential oils. My favorite brand to use is Edens Garden

  1. Yes to so many of these. Especially coffee and my nails, I hadn’t noticed until a few weeks ago if I’m highly upset/irritated I tend to do my nails and it seems to make me feel better. If only I could drink coffee doing my nails!
