If you are in the market for some amazing food, good vibes, and amazing beach relaxation, Fort Lauderdale is your next vacation destination.
You guys, seriously though. This was the second beach for our 17 Florida Beaches in 2017 and I fell in love. There is such a cool vibe in Fort Lauderdale. I made a mental list before we took our 5 hour drive down south of what I wanted to do while in FLL. Little did I know that the trip would be more “go with the flow” than anything else. But I loved every bit of it! Here is a quick guide I put together to help you navigate your time through Fort Lauderdale.

So, You.must.visit.las.olas. Period. Las Olas Boulevard has everything from the trendiest shops to the best macaroons. Before you head to the beach, travel down Las Olas boulevard, stopping at Hoffmans for some delicious chocolate and refreshing green tea. You can also stop at Gran Forno Bakery for a quick authentic espresso and colorful macaroon! There is so much to see and do on Las Olas boulevard, believe me. Then, you can take the trolley from the boulevard all the way to the beach!
Previously we visited St. Pete Beach and that was great. But Fort Lauderdale Beach blew St. Petersburg out of the water! From the epic coastline of the Atlantic to the stronger tide, Fort Lauderdale has a different beach atmosphere. Anywhere you sit on the beach you are bound to pick up rays of sunshine, great food (a little pricey), and 2 for 1 drinks! On the main boulevard right at the end of Las Olas Boulevard, you will find countless beachwear shops, bars, and restaurants.
Oooh! And I also have a freebie for my wonderful subscribers! It’s the Ultimate Beach Checklist and you can sign up right now to get it.
I decided to just stop into this little gem and see what it was all about. It’s about amazingness!! There are hundreds of different types of chocolates, caramel apples, and beverages. I got myself a green tea and it was so delicious and refreshing. Make sure you stop in and grab yourself a little treat!
So, if you have already been following along on this journey, you know how much I love palm trees. Check out our first stop at St. Petersburg Beach and why we have decided to visit 17 Florida Beaches in 2017. Fort Lauderdale has excellent palm trees. My favorite part is how they spread along the beach. This seriously makes for epic photos. I mean, just check these out below….
Where to Eat
We decided to eat right on the beach and it was great. We ate at The Drunken Taco right on the beach. Though the service sucked the food was fantastic. And their Bloody Mary’s looked amazing. There are tons of other bars restaurants that line the coast as well including Elbow Room which is always bouncing and Quarterdeck that has fantastic salads and fries. Either way, each place has an amazing view!
